Port Washington, N.Y., June 8, 2022 – The NPD Group today announced its partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Long Island, an affiliate of the nonprofit organization Habitat for Humanity International, which helps people in communities around the world build a place they can call home. NPD will be a corporate sponsor in building a home near the company’s Port Washington headquarters, in Huntington Station, New York.

NPD and Habitat for Humanity of Long Island kicked off their partnership at this morning’s wall-raising ceremony. The event was attended by local elected officials, NPD executives, and Habitat for Humanity of Long Island board members, staff and future Habitat homeowner. In the coming weeks, hundreds of NPD employees will volunteer their time to bring the architectural plans to life and create a place to call home for a family in need.

“Long Island has been home to NPD for over 30 years, and throughout this time we have been committed to giving back to our community,” said Karyn Schoenbart, CEO at NPD. “We are thrilled to partner with Habitat for Humanity on this important mission to improve our neighborhoods and the lives of the people living in them.”

“As we have done for decades, Habitat for Humanity’s goal is to inspire hope for families and help them to build a better life for themselves and their loved ones,” said Lee Silberman, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Long Island. “We are excited today to celebrate the wall-raising with our partner, The NPD Group, and acknowledge their generous sponsorship gift and commitment to roll up their sleeves in support of our life-changing work at our latest construction project in Huntington Station.”
