This tremendous growth primarily was driven by sales of the original Spider-Man trilogy.

Books

During the Spider-Man: Homecoming movie release month, Spider-Man book sales jumped 254% YOY.

Excitement about the license continued, and through the remainder of the year (July-December 2017), book sales were up by 55% over the same timeframe in 2016.

Video Games

103% YOY growth in PS4 games sales as compared to previous Spider-Man game.

Toys

Spider-Man toy sales grew 183% YOY in July 2017.

Spider-Man was already ranked the 16th highest-selling license in the entire U.S. toy industry in July 2016. Additional interest generated by the movie release bumped the title up to #5 for July 2017.
