Summer Programs for College Students

We offer two summer programs for graduate and undergraduate college students. Both are designed to provide an overview of the kind of work we do at The NPD Group and the types of jobs available. The programs give participants an opportunity to broaden their knowledge and create a solid foundation in the field of market research. These programs offer paid, full-time (Monday through Friday / 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) positions. They begin in June and run through the end of August. Read on for details.

Summer Associates

Summer Associates work with our researchers, who provide expert analysis in a variety of disciplines: consumer research, custom research, quantitative analysis, strategy, and broader market insights. Specific assignments include working with a client development team, learning day-to-day responsibilities, and focusing on a specific project. Associates are responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining spreadsheets, developing quantitative models and databases of assigned companies, proofreading industry/company reports, and preparing written material for client calls. Additionally, Summer Associates may assist in writing and editing reports, provide market information to select retail partners, and participate in company meetings.
