Analyst - Wearables
Weston Henderek serves as a Director for The NPD Group’s Connected Intelligence and Market Intelligence practices. In this role, he has a focus on Home Automation, which includes all smart home products and technologies. As part of his home automation tracking, Weston is responsible for the creation of several distinct reports that provide clients with meaningful analysis through consumer surveys and in-depth industry research. This includes identifying product awareness and adoption trends, user demographics, product usage information, and retailer landscape trends. In addition, Weston also works directly with clients, advising them on key developments and industry shifts that could have a significant impact on their business based on NPD’s broad portfolio of data assets.
Weston has more than 20 years of experience tracking and advising clients in a wide range of technology categories including mobile services and devices, wearable tech, and smart home. He is frequently quoted and interviewed by leading industry and national media outlets. Prior to joining NPD, Weston served as a leading U.S. mobile analyst at Current Analysis and Forrester Research, as well as in Product Management and Strategic Marketing rolls at Qualcomm.
Weston holds a BA from Connecticut College with a double major in Economics and History.
