Nathan Shipley is Executive Director, Industry Analyst for The NPD Group’s automotive aftermarket division. Nathan has worked in the market research industry for over 15 years, 12 of which he has spent with NPD’s automotive division. Nathan has built an extensive knowledge of the automotive aftermarket through his work at NPD and his own personal hobbies. This background has given him an in-depth understanding of consumer purchase patterns and trends in the aftermarket.

During his time at NPD, Nathan has consulted with manufacturers and retailers to help them better understand marketplace dynamics and how to best utilize NPD’s vast array of resources to better run their businesses. Nathan also spent over three years at Nielsen working on a major CPG manufacturer’s business. He resides in Houston, Texas.
