The NPD Group Introduces New Toy Retail Tracking Service in Russia

MOSCOW, Russia, November 16, 2015 – Global information company The NPD Group, today announced the launch of its Toy Retail Tracking Service in Russia. The new service monitors in-store and online sales of toy products from a diverse range of Russia-based retailers, making it a single source for complete market information in the country.

The Retail Tracking Service is available on a monthly basis allowing for more frequent and timely access to emerging trends and the ability to react faster to those trends ahead of the competition. The new service delivers comprehensive coverage of point-of-sale purchasing in over 100 toy categories.

According to The NPD Group, global toy industry sales grew $409 million to $27.4 billion year to date, a 1.5 percent increase over the same time period last year, with most of the growth due to sales in the Americas, which is up 3.3 percent. Europe and Australia saw declines of 1.6 percent and 1.9 percent, respectively.
