Port Washington, NY, May 19, 2016 – Global information company The NPD Group, Inc. has hired Kellen Frank as Vice President, Product Development for NPD’s Retail Business Group sector. He will be based in Bentonville, AR reporting to Jeremy Allen, Group President, Product Management and Development.
In this role, Frank will work closely with the Retail Business Group team to enhance the product portfolio for NPD’s retail partners, and build off of the success of NPD’s current offerings. Leveraging expanded retailer partnerships and new research methodologies, NPD has significantly enhanced its data assets, offering more granular information including weekly and store-level enabled information, and account-level reports for select retailer partners.
Frank, who began his career at NPD, rejoins the company after five years in Customer Business Development with Procter & Gamble. Most recently, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Duracell’s Mass/Club Segment, where he was a key leader in the creation of The Duracell Company as Procter & Gamble divested the brand to Berkshire Hathaway. Frank’s retailer responsibility with Duracell included Bed Bath & Beyond, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Kmart/Sears, Meijer, Sam’s Club, Target, and Toys “R” Us.
Frank joined NPD in 2008 as an Account Manager on the Walmart team, with responsibility for NPD’s Food & Beverage and Foodservice lines of business. During his time at NPD, he was also the project leader for the development and launching of the Brazil Sports Tracking Service from 2010-2011. Frank holds an MBA from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor's degree from Kansas State University.
